Kansai Paint, the leading Japanese paint and coatings manufacturer, brought the legendary Manchester United players Peter Schmeichel and Dwight Yorke to Dubai to meet young fans in the lead up to the refurbishment of the company’s Umm Suqeim design center.
When they visited the design center, the famous footballers met young football fans from Dubai’s Ahdaaf Football Academy, who used the occasion to get photos with their heroes and create their very own memories. The football stars visited Dubai as part of Kansai Paint’s global sponsorship of Manchester United.
Schmeichel and Yorke used the trip to meet their fans in the UAE, and saw first-hand the passion for football among young people in the UAE.
Commenting on the visit, Yorke said, that it was great to interact with many enthusiastic young football fans. They chatted with the fans about football and the positions they played. Peter Schmeichel and he shared stories with the fans about their stints with Manchester United
Both the legends said that Kansai Paint’s design center in Dubai reflected the creativity, elegance, and efficiency that they displayed on football pitch.
Commenting on the visit of the footballers, Mark Woor, Regional Brand Marketing Manager, Kansai Paint said that it was a great honor for Kansai Paints to host legends like Peter Schmeichel and Dwight Yorke along with their young fans, at the company’s flagship design centre. He added that the new design center is a place where homeowners can visualize the transformational effect of the company’s products.
Kansai Paint had recently announced its ‘Colour Forecast’ for 2017 in the GCC, detailing the trendiest colors of the year for interior designers, contractors and home owners. The color themes have been grouped based on four unique topics based on factors like the landmarks of the region and the different phases of an individual’s life. The forecast covers colors of all hues including warm, simple, bright and neutral colors and Kansai also announced the color of the year, based on the holistic neutral palette.
As a key player in the paints and covering industry, Kansai Paint has aligned closely with the UAE’s national agenda of sustainability, and ensures that materials used throughout the manufacturing process are sustainable and of high quality. The colors that have been included as part of the color forecast are of premium quality UV-resistant water based acrylic roof and wall coating, with infrared reflective technology that also have a minimum total solar reflectance (TSR) of 30% and have less than 0.01 gram per liter when it comes to VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) which are considered to be harmful to the environment.
