WABCO Holdings, which specializes in technologies and services to improve the safety, efficiency and connectivity of commercial vehicles has announced that it has received a record number of 29 awards from customers and industry bodies in China during the 2017 performance year.
This achievement highlights the confidence that customers have in WABCO’s ability to provide innovative, game-changing technologies and deliver excellent execution in a highly dynamic market. Customers commended WABCO on several aspects including quality, delivery, cost-efficiency, seamless collaboration and technology leadership.
Some of the 24 customer awards that WABCO for in 2017 included from manufacturers of commercial vehicles in China included ‘Top Supplier’ and ‘Quality’ awards from Sinotruk Jinan Truck Co., Ltd., Best Supplier’ and ‘CV Strategic Supplier awards from Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd., award for ‘Outstanding Technical Support’ from FAW Group and ‘Supplier of the Year: Leading Quality’ award from Shaanxi Automobile.
WABCO also received as many as five industry awards, which included two awards for innovations that make commercial vehicle fleets safer and more efficient, the company’s Trailer Fleet Management System and Trailer Electronic Braking System.
WABCO has been operating in the Chinese market for over 20 years and continually develops advanced vehicle control technologies and fleet management systems which cater to the needs of local customer. The company offers customers a unique combination of localized product development capability and global technology platforms backed by the flexibility, cost-efficiency and maturity of its globally integrated supply chain which is used to serve global and domestic OEMs in the region.
WABCO has as many as four highly advanced factories in China, which allow the company to offer products which are Optimized for the local market and service levels that are adapted to the dynamics and specificity of the Chinese market.
Commenting on the record number of awards, Sujie Yu, President, WABCO Asia-Pacific and Business Leader, China said that the company was deeply honored to set a new performance record by achieving 29 prestigious customer and industry awards. He said the awards highlighted the relevance and success of WABCO’s strategies for technology leadership, globalization and excellence in execution to serve the needs of customers.
Yu added, “Our passion to sustain differentiation as a leading partner to commercial vehicle manufacturers and fleet operators in China is absolute and we will continue to build on this success by supporting customers with advanced technologies as they seek to address emerging industry domains, including autonomous driving, V2X connectivity and new energy vehicles.”
He concluded by stating that the company would augment this technology leadership with industry-leading standards for delivery, quality and service across its integrated supply chain.
