Tasjeel RAK Auto Village is equipped to serve over 1,000 vehicles on a daily basis with eight test bays. More bays will be added as demand increases, including bays for motorbikes and fleet customers. At the facility, motorists can complete all the procedures related to testing and registration including payment of fines, insurance, renewal and registration.
Commenting on the opening of the new Tasjeel village, His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC said that it highlighted ENOC’s commitment to strengthening its presence in Ras Al Khaimah and the Northern Emirates and its desire to bring its services closer to its customers. He expressed his gratitude to the government of Ras Al Khaimah, Ras Al Khaimah Police and the General Resources Authority for their support and their contribution to the development of the Emirate’s infrastructure and went on to express his confidence that Tasjeel RAK Auto Village will serve as a destination to process residents’ vehicle testing and registration and automotive needs, all under one roof, thus ensuring safety to the local community.
The ENOC service station comprises eight multimedia dispensers, while the ZOOM convenience store, which is equipped with digital displays covers an area of over 3,000 square feet and offers a wide range of 7,500 products including organic goods and exclusive imports. The store also features Pronto which specializes in fresh beverages and snacks. There are four restaurants on site including two drive-through outlets. The station has been designed and built to international best practices in the retail fuel industry, and also complies with Barjeel, Ras Al Khaimah’s green building regulations. UL Certified double wall tanks and double wall fuel piping have been used with secondary containment for further protection against any environmental contamination. The fuel system is fully automated with auto tank gauging and electronic leak detection system and guarantees maximum allowed and safe flow rate as per NFPA guidelines for minimal refueling time. The dispensers have been built with retractable hoses to facilitate refueling of vehicles from both sides.
The sustainability features that complement the Ras Al Khaimah Energy Strategy 2040, include an advanced Vapour Recovery System. This system recovers 70 per cent of the vapor as fuel. LED lights are used for optimized light design. They not only require zero maintenance but are also safer against fire and electrical hazards, in addition to providing 50 per cent energy savings. The air-conditioning system uses only ozone-free environment-friendly refrigerants and deploys the modern Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology with high energy efficiency ratio to reduce energy consumption by 35 per cent. The station also has provision for use of solar power in the future.
ENOC partnered with the Dubai Police in 1999 to set up Tasjeel. In 2006, Tasjeel took over vehicle testing from Sharjah Police, going on to become the testing and registration provider in Sharjah. Currently, Tasjeel owns and operates 22 sites and four mobile units in Dubai, Sharjah, Al Dhaid and Kalba. All Tasjeel sites are equipped with the latest testing and inspection machinery and qualified staff. To date, Tasjeel has tested over 20 million vehicles across its 89 testing bays in the country.
