Nitin Mantri New CEO of Alliance Tire

Alliance Tire Group has announced that Nitin Mantri has taken over as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. He joined Alliance as the CEO Designate in February this year, and spent the next few months slowly taking over the reins from Yogesh Mahansaria, the Founder and CEO who will be leaving the company. ATG was fully acquired by The Yokohama Rubber Company last year.

Mantri qualified as a Mechanical Engineer from Pune University and has completed MS in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University. He also holds a Master’s in Business Administration from University of Michigan.

Mantri began his career at Bharat Forge in Pune as a manufacturing Engineer and then moved on to work at Comau-Pico, a division of Fiat SpA in Detroit. He has worked previously in senior positions in leading companies. He has over 23 years of global experience in General management, Operations, Business development and Strategic planning. He last worked as the General Manager of the Fuel Systems business at Cummins Inc. and in this role, he led a team of over 3000 employees across 5 countries and was responsible for a USD 600 million P&L.

He joined Cummins from the Boston Consulting Group where he worked in the company’s Atlanta office, developing business strategies for Fortune 500 companies.

Speaking about his mid-term vision for the Alliance Tire Group, Mantri said, “Our ambition is to become a USD 1B company by 2020. We plan to strengthen our position as the global leader in Off-Highway tires by continuing our focus on providing the best value tire to our customer, while improving our quality to world class levels by leveraging expertise from our new owners Yokohama Rubber Co.”
