Vredestein, Apollo’s range of premium tires, which is quite well known in the US, Canadian and European markets celebrated farming and its presence in the agricultural tire segment with a new promotional video. The brand which is known for its longstanding history in the tire industry and its association with renowned Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, focused on the important role played by farmers, their connection to the land and the hard manual labor they put in on a daily basis in the video.
The video was made by award-winning Amsterdam-based studio Sounds Like Film and took nine months to film and edit. It is part of Vredestein’s Live the Land campaign which promotes the brand’s range of agricultural tires.
The video tells the story from the viewpoint of a farmer and describes how life is in the countryside. This narration is accompanied by cinematic shots depicting picturesque landscapes in all their glory through the four seasons, the hard work that is done around a farm every day, and family life that transcends generations as love for the land is shared from father to son. The clip includes footage recorded across most of the year and shots of early mornings and late nights to capture just the right light and different tasks that are carried out on a typical farm.
The video is part of Vredstein’s “Live the Land” campaign. The campaign was launched in 2016 and highlights performance and freedom for man and machine alike in relation to agricultural life. The title of the promotional campaign indicates the depth of the connection farmers have with the land that they farm. It is also linked to the longer lifespan of Vredestein tires which makes it possible for farmers to achieve optimal performances, thus boosting the productivity of their farms and helping them to cut costs. Vredestein’s goal is to help farmers save time and money, and to give them greater freedom in both their private and professional lives.
