Cooper Tire Receives Two Awards from Great Wall

Cooper Tire Asia has won two awards given by Great Wall Motors Company Limited. The tire manufacturer earned the 2018 Statistical Quality Award and the Simultaneous Engineering (SE) Achievement Award from the Chinese SUV and pickup truck manufacturer. Great Wall is the largest manufacturer of pickup trucks and SUVs in China and makes vehicles under the brands of Haval and Great Wall brands. Cooper has been supplying OE tires for Great Wall’s vehicles from 2011, and is the only tire manufacturer to get these awards from Great Wall.
Great Wall gives the Statistical Quality Award to those suppliers who employ statistical tools for attaining continuous improvement in the achievement of enhanced quality. The SE Achievement Award is given to those suppliers who make the maximum contribution towards optimizing each stage in the vehicle development process before it is manufactured on a large scale.

Commenting on the awards, Allen Tsaur, senior vice-president & general manager – Asia Tire Operations said that Cooper was proud to receive the two prestigious awards from Great Wall in recognition of the company’\s efforts to improve quality and performance and its outstanding performance when it comes to supplying great tires.
