SKF recently won the 2018 Automotive News PACE Award winner that was awarded by Automotive News. The company received the award at an awards ceremony held on April 9 in Detroit. The PACE awards recognize OE vehicle suppliers for outstanding innovation, technological advancement and business performance.
SKF received the award for its Scotseal X-Treme wheel end seal. Scotseal X-Treme is the company’s latest product in its range of wheel-end seals for drive, steer and trailer axles. It has the capability to withstand even the toughest operating conditions, thus offering OE truck and trailer manufacturers outstanding reliability and long life.
Commenting on the award, Cengiz R Shevket, Vice President, Innovation and Customer Value, Americas, Automotive Market said that SKF continually strives to be an innovative technology partner for its customers, and not just a supplier of bearings and seals. The 24th annual PACE Awards were presented by Automotive News, and the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association (APMA) and received entries from suppliers who contribute products, processes, materials or services directly to the manufacture of cars or trucks. The award is considered to be a benchmark in the industry for innovation.
