Experts at Goodyear Middle East & Africa (MEA) recently trained select members of the technical team from Al Rashed Tires Co. (Al Rashed Tires), in the company’s TireOptix solution. Al Rashed is the leading tire distributor in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The four Al Rashed Tires fleet technicians will now be able to support fleet customers that are based in the Eastern, Central, Western and Southern provinces to achieve a more effective operating cost and better return on their investment.
Goodyear’s TireOptix is an advanced digital tire monitoring solution, designed to allow fleet operators to capture tire data in real-time, accurately and efficiently. The data is then transferred to the TireOptix application, where it’s converted into customized fleet reports that allows fleet operators to implement improvements promptly. The reports also enable fleets to assess more accurately overall tire health and will, in turn, be able to support fleet operators, improve the lifespan of their respective fleet’s tires and enhance operational safety and efficiency. More importantly, this allows fleet operators to move away from manual data collection and accelerate their digital transformation efforts.
Yasser Meyer, CEO of Al Rashed Tires, said: “It is in the company’s DNA to be the successful first mover in everything that we venture into. This collaboration with Goodyear demonstrates our close relationship, which has grown from strength to strength since 2009, when we became their official distributor in the Kingdom. With our fleet technicians now versed in an innovative digital fleet solution like TireOptix, we look forward to cementing our position as the preferred fleet mobility partner in Saudi Arabia.”
Working with Goodyear towards this digital upskilling of their fleet technicians is another milestone in Al Rashed Tires’ own digital transformation. The tire distributor can proudly claim to be a pioneer in the digital retail of tires, commercial and consumer, in Saudi Arabia.
“As the preferred mobility partner for 125 years around the world, Goodyear stands ready to support our valued partners, such as Al Rashed, in their digital transformation journey,” said Saban Gungor, General Manager of Goodyear MEA. “I am even more excited at the expanded potential of how both Goodyear and Al Rashed Tires can support the digital transformation of fleets in the Kingdom.”
Hamzeh Afaneh, Director of Commercial Business, Goodyear MEA, said: “Goodyear’s innovative TireOptix solutions has a proven track record. I am pleased to be working with our partner, Al Rashed Tires, to enable even more fleets in Saudi Arabia to leverage this solution so as to achieve their operational goals.”
