Provocative and plush, the 2023 INFINITI QX55 has arrived, equipped with more standard luxury amenities and driver-convenience features than ever before. One year on from a show-stopping debut, this stylish INFINITI crossover coupe SUV returns in three compelling grades — LUXE, ESSENTIAL, and SENSORY. With added distinctive content and features, the 2023 INFINITI QX55 is set to take the Middle East by storm.
Bold design
The QX55’s provocative presence begins with its stunning silhouette and daring sloped roofline, inspired by the iconic INFINITI FX. In front, INFINITI’s geometric inner mesh grille mimics the folds of the ancient Japanese art of origami, pronouncing the vehicle’s confident looks. Fog lights with black surrounds bracket the lower half of the front, while standard LED headlights — and adaptive front lights with unique cube LED headlights on QX55 ESSENTIAL and higher — draw a bold, night-time signature.
At the rear, the QX55 embraces a minimalist look with an integrated badge that not only portrays the road ahead in INFINITI’s iconic logo, but also operates the standard power rear liftgate in a single, cohesive design. The rear door handles offer integrated LED welcome lighting and distinctive taillights offer depth and dimension, with an arrangement emulating the keys of a piano.
On QX55 SENSORY grades, the rear power liftgate is complemented by a motion-activated sensor, allowing the owner to open the rear by a simple swipe of the foot, particularly useful when hands are full. Finally, standard 20-inch wheels on all grade levels sharpen the daring exterior.
Luxe Interiors
The QX55’s internal design is captivating and driver-centric, with a wide stage afforded by a low dash. The standard power-sliding, tinted moonroof bathes the interior with natural light. Three decadent color combinations are available, with stunning Monaco Red/Graphite available exclusively to QX55 SENSORY buyers.
For the driver and front passenger, the QX55’s “zero gravity” front seats help to increase comfort by minimizing pressure on the back and hips. Newly standard on ESSENTIAL grade upwards, front seats are also temperature controlled, offering respite from the region’s relentless heat in the summer months.
Authentic leather is an update on the LUXE grade that adorns all seats, finished with laser-cut stitching that also creates unconventional shapes on the door panels and dashboard, defining the interior of the QX55.
Engaging technology
Every 2023 INFINITI QX55 is thoughtfully outfitted with dual, high-resolution touch screens for both vehicle infotainment and controls, including wireless Apple CarPlay® and USB-based Android Auto compatibility.
Standard active noise cancellation in all QX55 grade levels filters sounds outside the QX55’s elegant cabin, while an available Bose® Performance Series audio system with 16 speakers fills the cabin with impeccable notes. The QX55 cabin also features five USB ports, including two USB-C connectors and three USB-A connectors, allowing passengers to charge their devices on the go.
An added feature in 2023, all grades of the INFINITI QX55 are equipped with advanced driver assistance systems, including ProACTIVE with Intelligent Cruise Control. Standard on ESSENTIAL and SENSORY grades, Head-Up Display, which projects vital vehicle information onto a 9-inch area of the windshield keeps drivers’ eyes looking forward.
Dynamic powertrain
With a design inspired by the iconic INFINITI FX that pioneered the coupe-crossover segment nearly 20 years ago, the stylish and shapely 2023 QX55 pairs perfectly with an award winning and pioneering powertrain.
At its heart, every QX55 is powered by a dynamic and innovative VC-Turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that outputs 268 horsepower. The engine seamlessly varies its compression ratio between 8:1 and 14:1 to deliver maximum power or fuel efficiency, depending on the driver’s needs. This is thanks to an advanced multi-link system which imperceptibly raises or lowers the pistons’ stroke at all times and is the world’s first mass-production variable-compression engine.
The ingenious VC-Turbo engine is paired to a Continuously Variable Transmission that uses “shift by wire” technology, which can almost instantly relay the driver’s preferences when shifting in manual mode. Pairing paddle shifters and INFINITI’s Drive Mode Selector, the powertrain’s multiple modes for Standard, ECO, Sport, and Personal preferences ensure all drivers are confidently in control.
The engine and transmission drive INFINITI’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive. Depending on the driver’s preference, the system can shuttle power between the front and rear axles to maximize efficiency or take-off. What’s more, Active Brake Limited Slip systems can brake individual wheels for better grip side to-side when needed.
The QX55’s inspired dynamics, decadent interior, and intuitive technology set the stage for bold owners to challenge convention. In addition, its spacious cabin, advanced driver-assistance systems, and leading convenience features reward QX55 owners and passengers during every journey.
The 2023 INFINITI QX55 is now available for sale across the Middle East. For further details on the features included on each grade level, please see the full specification sheet.
