ESP Consulting is an innovative French lab that specializes in using cognitive science to optimize human well-being and performance in different situations.
Faurecia expects its investment in ESP Consulting to help the company to learn more about the human impact of the technologies it develops for predictive and personalized use cases inside the cockpit.
Commenting on the investment, David Degrange, Vice President Cockpit of the Future, Faurecia said that ESP Consulting has considerable expertise in gathering relevant data on vehicle occupants under real conditions. Thus, the company can give Faurecia a credible scientific platform and more insight into human factors, making it possible for Faurecia to come up innovative wellness solutions which are primarily meant to improve postural comfort, diminish fatigue, reduce stress and eliminate motion sickness.”
Jean-Bernard Fabre, Founder and CEO of ESP Consulting said that the partnership with Faurecia will serve as an incredible growth accelerator. With the infusion of capital, ESP Consulting will now be able to expand its laboratory and facilitate the international deployment of its products and services. As part of this strategy, ESP Consulting plans to make two very high-tech spaces: the biosensor-based driving simulator, which will be designed based on the expertise the company has gained through its partnerships with racing teams and an environmental chamber, which will serve as a unique device for studying human behavior in a specific climatic situations.”
Faurecia Ventures is the company’s venture capital arm that makes investments in up-and-coming companies which specialize in technologies that can strengthen the Group’s innovation strategy.
