RoadSafety UAE successfully teamed up with AETOSWire to conduct a road safety awareness campaign during Ramadan, a period that is generally to be one during which there are more accidents and fatalities than usual. The campaign came to a successful end with the participants wishing everyone on the road a happy Eid and reminding drivers to continue to use the safety driving tips they learned during the campaign.
AETOSWire is the news distribution arm of NSG and the exclusive representative of Business Wire, a Berkshire Hathaway company, in MENA region.
Commenting on the impact the campaign created, Thomas Edelmann, RoadSafetyUAE Founder and Managing Director said that he was overwhelmed by the support that the campaign received from various sectors. Many leading newspapers made use of the data and analysis that RoadUAE gathered in cooperation with the company’s CSR partner, i-Insured in articles they featured on UAE driving conditions. The organization’s other CSR-partner, AETOSWire, was informed and engaged with the public by creating a holistic campaign support plan that comprised distribution of press releases locally, regionally, and globally as well as through social media campaigns, and animated road safety Press Videos.”
He went on to state that the campaign would not have been a success if it had not been for the efforts of likeminded organizations like i-Insured and AETOSWire, road participants, individuals and groups that believed in the cause of road safety. All the participants teamed up for the campaign with the goal of inculcating a positive driving culture in the UAE and working towards a future where road safety is a way of life.
The President and CEO of NSG, AETOSWire, and Esmaa News, Tony AbiHanna said that true to the hashtag of the campaign #HappyNotHastyRamadan, there is no better way to end Ramadan than to celebrate EID safely and joyously with close friends and family.
The two organizations had collaborated closely over the four weeks of Ramadan on spreading awareness of safe driving through tips and reminders on how to change and control driving behaviors. These tips definitely resonated with motorists. The advocacy would continue until motorists and other road participants take to a culture of caring and the number of accidents and fatalities reduces to zero.
He concluded by saying that it was a privilege to work with RoadSafetyUAE on the Ramadan campaign. The two organizations would continue to work together on road safety initiatives.
