Axalta Coating Systems has launched two new apps and added a new feature to an existing app to help customers carry out their tasks more accurately and completely.
The company’s new General Industrial Product System Selector app allows industrial customers in North America to make an optimal search for the products they require by facilitating searches for products based on industry segment, the item that needs to be painted, the environment, substrate, surface condition, and even volatile organic compound (VOC) levels. There are thousands of possible product combinations and customers now have an efficient way to receive product recommendations that meet the specifications and needs for their projects.
The second app is a digital color app for the Chinese market that gives customers in China easy access to Axalta’s extensive formula database of more than four million colors. The app is meant to increase productivity and reduce waste for collision repair body shops and automotive OEM customers. Its features include formula comparisons, offline color formula retrieval, and built-in Safety Data Sheets and Technical Data Sheets information. These formulas can be shared through many means including texts, WeChat, WhatsApp and email.
In addition to the new apps, the company has upgraded its award-winning North American industrial color matching mobile app to now include liquid colors. The innovative app makes it possible for industrial coatings customers to photograph any surface they choose and then identify the best Axalta match from a range of hundreds of vibrant liquid and powder coating colors. This helps boost productivity by minimizing the time needed for getting a match and can even be used as a starting point for finding the exact color match. Michael Cash, Axalta’s President of Industrial Coatings said that at Axalta, the focus is on putting customers at the center of everything the company does. This is why Axalta gives priority to providing excellent service, top quality products, and using the latest technologies to help customers make the best decisions for their business and for their customers.
Cash concluded, “We recognize the importance of speed and accuracy, which is why we created these apps for our customers to further enhance their experience with Axalta.” Axalta apps are available to download on both Google playstore and the Apple App store.
