Al Habtoor has continued to expand its presence in Saudi Arabia by opening the country’s biggest facility for servicing trucks. As part of the opening, the company invited 200 of KSA’s largest Truck Operators to view the facility and meet the company’s Al Habtoor Saudi Arabia management team.
The open event to view the facility was held on 23rd November, 2016. The facility which covers 9,000 square meters is meant to cater to the growing popularity of FUSO truck brand, a division of Daimler Trucks. The service center has 20 fully air conditioned truck working bays as well as a Parts department which stocks 7,500 lines and 220,000 individual parts
The new service center will serve as a one stop solution for all truck operators, as it has areas dedicated to body fabrication, routine maintenance and truck accident repair thus making it possible to lower the operating costs of a vehicle. Some of the world class service facilities at the center included a full size truck spray booth, a Black Hawk chassis straightener that can be used fixing the damage inflicted on even the biggest heavy duty trucks and a specialized truck brake tester that can be used to ensure that the brake performance of every vehicle that is serviced at the center meets manufacturer’s standards.
Al Habtoor also has a fleet of dedicated mobile service vans that will be used to service and repair FUSO trucks at the premises of customers.
Speaking about the new facility, Al Habtoor Motors Saudi Arabia Country Head, Simon Monahan said that he was delighted to welcome customers to the largest Truck Servicing facility in Riyadh. He said that FUSO is the only brand that offers a full range of Light Duty, Medium Duty and Heavy Duty Trucks as well as Light Buses. The investment in the new facility is meant to reduce the operating costs of customers through quick and efficient service and provide them with repairs that meet the highest possible standards. He went on to add that the company also used the open day to launch its Routine Maintenance Contracts that can help customers save even more money when it comes to looking after their truck fleets. As an outcome of these contracts, customers will benefit from less downtime, better fuel economy, longer vehicle life and higher residual values. The center will also guarantee no-advance-booking and on-call mobile service for their trucks as part of the team’s commitment to providing great customer service at all times.
