Audi cemented its reputation for innovation by winning three awards at the 2016 edition of the Automotive Innovation Awards. The renowned awards are presented jointly by the research institute Center of Automotive Management (CAM) and PricewaterhouseCoopers AG (PwC). Audi won the most important award, the “Most Innovative Premium Brand” award in addition to becoming the winner of awards in two other categories – innovations in the areas of “Connected Car” and “Vehicle Concepts/Body”.
Speaking about the awards, Dr. Stefan Knirsch, Member of the AUDI AG Board of Management for Technical Development said that the awards will serve to both praise and motivate the AUDI team and highlights Audi’s drive to innovate in several different areas including lightweight construction, classic and alternative drive systems, production processes, connectivity, driver assistance and piloted driving true to the company’s philosophy of ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’.”
The Automotive Innovations Award are being presented for the fifth year by the Center of Automotive Management and PricewaterhouseCoopers AG in 2016. The awards had received over 1,400 entries from 20 automobile manufacturers and 50 brands. Audi received the awards at a gala event which was held last week in Frankfurt am Main.
