A camouflaged Audi Nuvolari, the brand’s upcoming flagship supercar, was recently photographed leaving Lamborghini’s factory in Sant’Agata, Italy. The sighting adds fresh, visible proof of just how closely Audi’s most extreme road car to date is tied to its sister brand under the Volkswagen Group.

Since the Nuvolari’s unveiling in June 2026, its connection to the Lamborghini Temerario has been known, but this sighting makes it concrete. The car’s powertrain comes directly from the Temerario, and in this case, Audi has pushed it further: while exact figures haven’t been finalised, the Nuvolari is expected to produce around 1,000 hp, making it more powerful than the Lamborghini it’s built alongside.
Adding to the story, the prototype spotted at the factory was reportedly seen with a Lamborghini-branded steering wheel still fitted inside, a small but telling detail suggesting Audi’s final cabin design wasn’t yet installed at the time, and that Sant’Agata is still actively involved in developing and testing the car, not just supplying the engine.
Audi hasn’t built anything like this before. The Nuvolari represents the brand’s most serious attempt yet at a genuine flagship supercar, one built in close collaboration with Lamborghini’s engineering and manufacturing expertise rather than developed entirely in isolation. For enthusiasts, it raises an interesting question: can Audi’s version of this shared platform carve out its own identity, or will it always be read as “the Lamborghini with four rings”?
With testing clearly still underway at Lamborghini’s own facility, a full reveal with confirmed specifications and pricing is expected to follow in the coming months.
