Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. Has announced that the company has won the OE fitment for the new Mazda 3. It will be supplying its “BluEarth-GT AE51” tires as the original equipment (OE) tire for Mazda’s new Mazda. Mazda had launched the new Mazda 3 at the global level on May 24, 2019. The new model will be factory fitted with the BluEarth-GT AE51 tires in 205/60R16 92V size. These tires will be fitted on Mazda 3 vehicles sold in all parts of the world except in the North American market.
The “BluEarth-GT AE51” tire was chosen as the OE tire on the basis of its excellence in terms of basic design and materials technology and Yokohama’s positioning as “environmentally, human, and socially friendly”. The tire’s main attributes including its delivery of a superior driving experience, high levels of comfort and environmental performance makes it one of the top choices for a grand touring tire.
Yokohama Rubber has been aggressively developing tires which incorporate its top-notch “BluEarth” tire technology and as an outcome of this drive, many of the these tires have been chosen for factory fitments on a wide range of new models including the latest-model sedans, SUVs, sports cars, and compact cars.
