Toyota has chosen tires from two Falken tire ranges for fitment as original equipment tires in the new Toyota Corolla models, which were launched at the retail level in March this year. The tires that have been selected are the Ziex ZE914B EcoRun tire (top) in sizes 225/40 R18 92 W XL and 225/45 R17 91 W for sedans and the Sincera SN832B tire in size 205/55 R16 91 V for saloon models.
Falken positions the Ziex ZE914B EcoRun as a tire that offers impressive handling and braking capability, even on wet roads. The tire has been modified to cater to the advanced requirements of hybrid drive vehicles, and offer much lower rolling resistance.
The Falken Sincera SN832B is the first energy-saving tire that Falken made and has been modified on a continual basis after it ws launched to reflect the more stringent requirements of advanced vehicles. It delivers superior wet grip, as well as excellent aquaplaning behavior in addition to high levels of fuel efficiency.
Both these tires are made at the SRI plant in Turkey and are transported to Toyota’s factories in Castle Donington, UK, and Sarkaya in Turkey for fitting to the vehicles.
