Laufenn, Hankook Tyre’s value brand had revealed plans to launch truck tires at the Commercial Vehicle Show. The show was scheduled to be held in Birmingham from April 28 to 30. The Laufenn tires were to be displayed at the show alongside Hankook’s range of tires for commercial vehicles. Our latest update is that the show has been cancelled.
In addition to the Laufenn range of truck tires, the other tires that were to be highlighted at the Hankook booth included Hankook’s new steer tire (SmartWork AM11), drive tire (SmartWork DM11) and trailer tire (SmartWork TM11). All these tires belong to the SmartWork range of tires for regional on/off road applications which has been expanded.
The show was also to serve as the venue for the global launch of the new all-season Vantra ST AS2 (RA30) multi-performance, all-weather van tire.
Paul Emery, sales director for Hankook Tyre UK said that the company’s market share has grown significantly in recent years. Fleets seek to maximize value for money with regard to every aspect of their business. Such fleets turn into return customers who buy Hankook tires time and time again. For Hankook, it is a matter of pride that the company makes reliable tires which also provide excellent cost-per-mile and offer true value for money.
Emery concluded: “Hankook continues to build on its reputation for producing outstanding tires delivering superb mileage and reliability, and the new Laufenn product further demonstrates our investment in research and development.”
