The company was allotted several acres of industrial lad for the establishment of this plant by the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka in the Mirigama Export Processing Zone (MEPZ). MEPZ is located in western Sri Lanka near the country’s capital city of Colombo.
The new mixing plant will have the capability to increase GRI’s production of specialty tires by 100 tons a day in the initial stages and once the final stage of the plant is completed, it is expected that the output of the plant will reach 200 tons a day.
GRI was established in 2002, with the goal of becoming a leading manufacturer of specialty tires in the world and the company has grown rapidly in the past 17 years.
