The new DB11 which is going to be launched later in the year is one of Aston Martin’s most promising new models. Renowned tire company, Bridgestone has now been formally included as one of the official partners for the Aston Martin DB11. The tire manufacturer will be an integral part of the launch of the new model, extending its support to the British brand when it comes to durability testing, technical design and development and its worldwide media campaigns for its launch. Bridgestone will even lend its European Proving Ground in Aprilia, Italy to Aston Martin for the testing of the DB11.
Commenting on the partnership, Christophe De Valroger, vice-president original equipment, Bridgestone Europe said that Bridgestone was proud to continue its long-standing partnership with Aston Martin. Bridgestone will be the sole supplier of tires and will work with the company on the development project for the new DB11. Working with the Aston Martin team of engineers will help the tire manufacturer to set new benchmarks and raise the bar when it comes to tire design, tire efficiencies and performance.
Bridgestone has worked closely with Aston Martin to develop customized tires for renowned models like the V8 Vantage S, DB9, V8 Vantage S and Rapide. The new DB11 which will be fitted with a customized version of Bridgestone’s flagship UHP sports tire, Potenza S007, signals the next step in the evolution of the partnership between these two major brands in the automotive industry.
