Just recently, BMW has launched an all-new Competition Package to its M3 Sedan as well as M4 Coupe and Convertible, thus increasing their power by 25 horsepower to 450 horsepower. This package will boost the power output from the original 317 kW (431 hp) to 331 kW (450 hp).
With the horsepower boost, the M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe can reach up to 100 kmph in just four seconds and BMW M4 Convertible can reach almost the same speed in just 4.3 seconds. The M3 as well as M4 and M4 Convertible are powered by 3.0 liter, 6 cylinder engines with 7,300 rpm that cranks out a maximum of 550 Nm of torque.
Aside from the added advantage of speed, the Competitive Package also offers Adaptive M Suspension.
The seats in BMW M3 and M4 Coupe have also been exclusively designed under the Competition Package. Reduction of the seat’s weight is said to support driving in tough driving conditions while providing better safety and comfort for long road trips.
