Ficosa, which specializes in vision, safety, connectivity and efficiency related products for the automotive industry has received the Q1 accolade from Ford motors for the quality of its products. The award was given to Ficosa’s factory in Cookeville, Tennessee by Ford Motor Cofor for the plant’s high-quality products and its drive for continuous improvement.
Speaking about the award, Joan Canellas, Ficosa North America CEO, said that it was great honor to receive such an award from a top automobile manufacturer like Ford. She said that the award attested to the company’s hard work that it put in to ensure that it made excellent products and to offer the best quality to its clients. She went on to laud the company’s employees for their hard work, dedication, passion and teamwork.
Ford had mainly recognized Ficosa North America for complying with the ISO/TS certification requirements in five major areas: capable systems, continuous improvement, ongoing performance, superior manufacturing process and customer endorsement.
Ficosa North America has two factories located in Cookeville and Kentucky in the United States, and an R&D centre in Detroit. The company also has two factories in in Escobedo and Salinas Victoria in Mexico, and an R&D center in Escobedo. The Ficosa plant in Kentucky had received the same recognition from Ford back in 2017.
For Ficosa, North America is a crucial region. It had set up the plant in Cookeville in 2016. The factory features the latest technology and is the group’s most advanced center in the world.
