BOSS Audio Systems Showcases LXA5 Smart Media Platform at CES

BOSS Audio Systems, which is one of the market leaders in the case of car audio systems showcased its LXA5 smart media platform during the recent CES event. The LXA5 is a Double Din head unit that has a 6.2″ Capacitive Touchscreen and built-in Amazon Alexa.

The media platform, LXA5, which is pronounced as Lexa5 is one of the first aftermarket products which offers a true multitasking smart media platform for vehicles. Passengers can now interact with Amazon Alexa and gain access to native cloud and local entertainment features. The LXA5 smart media platform comes not only with Alexa but also has the new BOSS user-friendly GUI with fully-embedded Bluetooth technology. Thus, users can make calls, stream music, and do even more through their smartphone connection. The LXA5 also works with existing backup cameras and steering wheel audio controls for a safer drive.

As the platform has built-in Alexa built-in, customers just have to ask Alexa to play music, set reminders, control smart home devices, and access tens of thousands of skills and they can do this while focusing on the road. LXA5 comes with a high-quality microphone making it possible for everyone in the car to interact. Hence, back seat passengers will also have a chance to get what they need.

Sam Rabbani, CEO and founder for BOSS Audio Systems, said that the LXA5 is the first of the company’s products in the LXA series. He added that as an aftermarket car audio leader, Boss invests heavily in R&D. According to him the LXA5 provides motorists with hands-free luxury at an affordable price point. Boss worked directly with the Alexa Auto team and this made a significant difference in terms of coming up with smart technology design.

The LXA5 will be part of BOSS Audio Systems’ LXA range and all the products in this range will provide customers with Alexa-enabled hands-free technology, with products ranging from dongles to multitasking head units. The goal is to bring #nextlevelsmart technology to the car audio market.
