Automobili Lamborghini has announced that it achieved a production record when Lamborghini Huracán number 14,022 came off the brand’s assembly line. In just five years of production, it achieved a production milestone for its V10 model by surpassing the numbers for its previous V10 model, the Gallardo. 14,022 units of the Galalrgo were produced over a production cycle of ten years which lasted from 2003 to 2013.
The V10 Huracán family is the successor to the iconic Gallardo, and was launched in 2014 with the coupé variant. This was followed by the Spyder and the rear-wheel-drive versions – the Performante in 2017 and the Performante Spyder in 2018. All the different versions lived up to the hype regarding their performance capabilities, by establishing several lap records. This year, Lamborghini launched the Huracán EVO (coupe and Spyder) which came with a next generation V10 engine and features like next-generation vehicle dynamic control and aerodynamics.
The milestone model which bore chassis number 14,022 is a Huracán EVO coupé in Grigio Titans (grey) and is meant for sale in the Korean market.
In the first half of 2019 alone (from 1 January to 30 June), Automobili Lamborghini delivered as many as 4,553 vehicles, representing an increase of 96 percent compared to the same period in 2018. From this figure, the Huracán accounted for 1,211 units, which included the last deliveries of the Huracán Performante and new units of the Huracán EVO, of which deliveries to customers started in June 2019. The V12 Aventador, continued to maintain its relatively high sales figures with 649 units being delivered to customers during this period.
