New technological features can be highly intimidating, especially when you are trying to drive and use them at the same time. It can take quite a while to get used to a new car and General Motors has used a couple of cute commercials to introduce viewers to the connectivity features in its Cadillac cars. Motorists no longer have to resort to the owner’s manual to use the Connectivity Services feature.
The first commercial called “Puppy Prep” depicts a couple preparing to adopt a new dog. The forgets to buy a leash, and his wife orders one through Amazon. They opt to use the in-car delivery option that is available as part of the Key by Amazon In-Car Delivery. The lady then opens the liftgate of her Cadillac XT4 to find the package containing the leash in the boot.
The next scene in the commercial shows the couple having a discussion about how often they should walk their new pup. They get the information they need through access to a helpful audiobook that they get to listen to through a trial subscription that is offered to new owners of the XT4. To get to the seller of the puppy, she sends driving directions directly from her phone to the SUV’s in-dash navigation system. Once they pick up the puppy, the couple uses the vehicle’s hotspot to upload pictures of their new pet to the internet.
The second commercial, “Photo Pro,” showcases how a photographer who is on the move uses Connected Services to get through her busy day. After she has completed taking photos at her first location, she uses the Connected Services app for starting her vehicle remotely to get a head start on her journey to the next destination. She uses the Marketplace option on the dashboard to place an order for her regular cup of coffee and uploads the phots she has already taken using the Wi-Fi hotspot available in the vehicle. She then sends the location of her next destination to the navigation system so that she can get there as quickly as possible.
Connected Services offers many other benefits like providing text alerts regarding vehicle diagnostics, maintenance reminders, geolocation services and much more.
