Beema Insurance, which is part of ENOC Group, has announced plans to help the people of the UAE by providing financial relief in the form of ‘one month of car insurance for free’ to anyone who purchases a car insurance policy online from Beema and uses the code TOGETHER. Policies can be bought online on www.beema.ae.
This decision by the company aligns with the firm’s continued efforts to support the social distancing practices that has been urged by the authorities in the UAE. Current social distancing measures have led to many people seeking ways to renew their car insurance online as part of renewing their car registration online as they stay in self-quarantine.
Commenting on the move, H.E Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC said that Beema felt it was the firm’s duty to support the fight against COVID-19 and help people at this difficult time.
He added, “We deeply feel for people affected by the current situation and we are committed in contributing to our community, by making the insurance registration easy and by offering financial relief measures”.
The Government of the UAE has implemented several measures to help contain the spread of this pandemic that has swept across the globe, including enhanced screening and quarantine measures. The measures include intensive disinfection campaigns, closure of schools, implementation of distance learning, and most of the workforce working from home.
On March 23, the Ministry of Interior and National Emergency and the Crisis and Disasters Management Authority permitted car registration online and waived testing requirements for three months, in order to enable social distancing and protect customers from Covid-19.
Beema Insurance has reiterated its commitment to extend its support to customers by providing best in class services and fast turnaround times. The company’s multiple servicing channels and 24/7 access means that customers have a lot of flexibility when it comes to options to connect with Beema. Beema was earlier in the news in the third quarter of 2019 for launching the UAE’s first pay-per-kilometer car insurance product, thus helping its customers to save money on low-mileage vehicles and ensuring they don’t overpay if they do not drive much on a daily basis. The product is fully-digital with all purchase and renewal actions taken online. Customers sign-up online and can manage all of their policies from their online portal. Beema is the outcome of a collaboration between ENOC (Emirates National Oil Company) and The Boston Consulting Group.
