The Apple Watch has been redesigned for the first time since it was launched and almost every feature of the watch has been changed from the screen to the case. The watch is now made from ceramic and sapphire, and the screen is up to 35 per cent larger. The bigger 40 and 44mm cases have become thinner. Every model gets a black ceramic and sapphire crystal caseback.
The watch has a new electrocardiogram feature and it is billed as the first OTC product that can support such a feature. The watch is powered by a S4 system-on-chip, having a 64-bit, dual-core processor. This processor is twice as fast as its predecessor. Activity tracking is better too with the next-gen accelerometer. Other notable features of the new version include a haptic feedback digital crown, better sound quality for the mic and speaker combo, and a wider range of watch faces that highlight the larger screens. The new Apple watch is available in both aluminum and stainless steel finishes, and is compatible with prior bands.
