Visteon Wins Supplier Excellence Award from Jaguar Land Rover

Visteon Corporation which specializes in cockpit electronics and is a leader in the field has won a supplier excellence award from Jaguar Land Rover. The company won the award for providing the automotive major with innovative technology over the course of the long relationship between the two companies.

Visteon was one of the select few who was honored at Jaguar Land Rover’s annual Supplier Excellence Awards ceremony for demonstrating technical innovation, on-time delivery and high quality standards. Visteon met production and design challenges on a consistent basis.

The two companies began their collaboration in 2001, and Visteon has supported JLR’s engineers and designers in the development of several advanced technologies that have been used in their recent models, including the industry-first fully reconfigurable digital instrument cluster that was launched in the 2009 Range Rover and the dual view display in 2015.

Visteon’s President and CEO Sachin Lawande received the award on the company’s behalf from Jaguar Land Rover’s CEO Prof. Dr. Ralf Speth, and Ian Harnett, director of global purchasing.

Commenting on the award, Lawande said that Visteon was delighted to be recognized for its contribution to JLR’s expanding range of innovative new models as part of the longstanding collaborative partnership which culminated in several technology-firsts. The two companies shared a passion for cockpit technology that can enhance safety and the user experience for all in-car occupants.

Currently, Visteon supplies JLR with a wide range of instrument clusters and information displays – including infotainment and rear seat entertainment  which are incorporated in models like the latest Jaguar F-Pace, I-Pace and E-Pace models as well as the Jaguar XE and XJ range, all Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Velar and Evoque models and the Land Rover Discovery and Discovery Sport.
