Canadian company, Gray Tools Canada Inc. has announced that it is launching a new division that will cater to the needs of the automotive and heavy truck aftermarket. The company has been serving the industrial channel for more than 106 years and will now leverage its tool knowledge, operational and service expertise to develop the new division under its renowned brands Gray and Dynamic.
Jody Fildey who has been appointed recently as the Vice President of Sales and has experience of over 30 years in the automotive industry is tasked with overseeing the new division.
Gary Nuttall, President of Gray Tools said that Gray’s expansion into the automotive and heavy truck aftermarket is a strategic fit, and is a key component of its medium-term business plan. He said that having a highly respected and knowledgeable executive like Fildey on board will allow Gray to provide the unmatched level of service and support Gray Tools is known for to its new channel partners.”
Fildey said that he expects to thrive on the challenge of leveraging his experience to establish the 106-year old Gray Tools within a new channel.
Fildey added, “The iconic Gray brand together with operational excellences such as a manufacturing facility in Brampton and warehouse locations in ON, BC and AB will be key differentiators in the hand tool space within the automotive and heavy truck aftermarkets.
Gray Tools has also appointed Grant Brother Sales as the company’s national sales agency to serve the automotive and heavy truck aftermarkets. Grant Brothers President, Adam Crisp said that partnering with Gray Tools across Canada to distribute the Dynamic and Gray hand tool brands would be an excellent strategic fit as the brands have products at multiple price point brands and they are known for their focus on service and commitment to the Canadian market.
Hamid Moaref has always been fascinated by cars and the automotive industry. His family has a longstanding association with the industry and has been in the tire business for the past 35 years.
