Toyo Tires has announced that it has once again signed on as the official tire sponsor of the Tough Mudder competition. The contest is known for testing the toughness and durability of its participants with a wide range of events on the road, on the track and in the dirt. Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp was the Official Tire of Tough Mudder in 2017. The tire manufacturer has now announced that it has extended the partnership with Tough Mudder and the courses used for the competition across the Unites States will continue to have Toyo Tires® branding on the courses across America.
Tough Mudder is billed as the Toughest Event on the Planet and is a team-oriented 10-12 mile obstacle course challenge. The course is specially designed to test the mental toughness, physical strength and stamina of the team members. The events are untimed, and the individual teams are judged on the basis of their teamwork and camaraderie. Participants are expected to collaborate in order to tackle obstacles and test the limits of their mental and physical strength. The contest allows participants to encounter exhilarating, yet safe, world-class obstacles that they would not experience in any other contest.
Some of the items include Toyo Tires® Skidmarked; a fearsome ten-foot wall that is angled toward Mudders. Teammates should join hands to scale the wall, and then climb down the face of the wall past a row of Toyo® tires.
Toyo Tires is also the Official Tire of Mudderella, a competition that was established in 2013 and is part of the Tough Mudder family of brands. Mudderella is geared towards women and is a five to seven mile obstacle course challenge. It is billed as a contest designed by women for women.
