Leading tire distributor Omni United Pte. Ltd. was chosen for the prestigious Enterprise 50 list by Singapore’s Business Times and KPMG Services Pte. Ltd. The company earned the award on the basis of its “outstanding business management, innovation, market presence and contribution to the economic development in Singapore and abroad.” Some of Omni’s proprietary brands include Radar and Timberland, and in this year’s list, Omni was ranked 11th, improving its ranking by two spots from the 2014 ranking. This marks the third consecutive year that Omni United has made it to the list.
Speaking about the recognition, Omni United Founder and CEO G.S. Sareen said that the company has always believed in challenging convention and attributed the company’s improving ranking to its forward thinking and out-of-the-box approach.
The Enterprise 50 Awards were first established in 1995, and were instituted to recognize privately owned Singaporean companies that have made major contributions to economic development in both Singapore and overseas. The award is sponsored by OCBC Bank and supported by the International Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Business Federation and SPRING Singapore.
In addition to its proprietary brands, Omni United handles the Goodride, Birla, Roadlux and Speedways brands in various markets. The company recently acquired Interstate Tire Disributors of Commerce, California to strengthen its presence in the US.
