Mitas Uses EIMA 2018 Show to Present One of the Largest Agricultural Tires in the World

Mitas, which is part of the Trelleborg Group, will use the EIMA 2018 fair in Bologna to present its latest agricultural tires. The tires it will showcase at its booth will include the 1250/50R32 SFT, which is positioned as one of the largest agricultural tires in the world. The company recently launched a new version of this tire having greater load bearing capacity.

The 1250/50R32 194A8 (191B) SFT TL tire has a height that is a little over two meters and can carry loads of up to 18880 kg (10 km/h cyclic). It has been specifically designed to meet the needs of farmers and can be used in grain trailers and harvesters. It comes with flexible and ultra-strong flanks which allow low inflation pressures for high load capacity, ground protection and higher productivity. With its range of SFT or Super Flexion Tyres, Mitas is highlighting its commitment to quality and customer focus in the harvester tire segment.

Other tires that Mitas will present at EIMA 2018 include:
680/85R32 CHO 178A8 (175B) AC70G TL is a CHO (Cyclic Harvesting Operation) tire that was launched recently. It is a highly powerful tire that can be used in large combine harvesters. Compared to conventional tires, the tire has a higher load capacity during harvest operations and it has a larger footprint which minimizes its impact on the ground. It extends harvesting time and offers greater comfort on the road. With the addition of this tire to its portfolio, Mitas now offers ten CHO tire sizes in different markets around the world.

The Mitas 710/50R26.5 IMP 170D AGRITERRA 02 TL tire is part of a new range of fast and powerful agricultural tires which can be used in trailers. Thanks to its round shoulder and high positive share of tread pattern, it is gentle on grassland and can tolerate a load of 6000 kg at a maximum speed of 65 km/h and a nominal inflation pressure of 4 bars. Mitas uses the Agriterra 02 tread pattern for most of its flotation tyres, which are notable for their low noise emissions and low rolling resistance thus reducing fuel consumption

The Mitas 540/80R38 IND 172A8 (167D) HCM TL (High Capacity Municipal) is a universal quiet-running tire that can be used for all terrains and many applications. This tire sports a unique tread design that provides vehicles with better traction even on snow, mud and wet surfaces. It has optimal self-cleaning properties. As a tire that is highly versatile, the Mitas 540/80R38 HCM can be used in a wide range of applications (especially municipal) including tractors, telescopic handlers and loaders, and its most notable qualities are its low noise emissions and vibrations.
