Mitas Broadens Appeal of Mitas Premium Tires with Upgrade in Warranty

Mitas has enhanced the appeal of the company’s range of tires with an enhancement in the warranty conditions it provides for the Mitas premium brand of radial agricultural tires. From now on, all Mitas Premium tires that were either manufactured and/or sold after January 2014 in Europe will be available at the retail with a warranty period of six years from the production date. A free 24-month replacement tire policy and three years’ field hazard qualifying period are other aspects that add to the appeal of the upgrade in the warranty. These new warranty conditions will help Mitas to enhance the brand value of Mitas Premium which Mitas launched in January 2016 to replace the Continental-branded replacement agricultural tires that the company used to manufacture under a franchise agreement. The agricultural tires sold under the Mitas Premium brand will have the level of premium quality and an equivalent or even better standard when it comes to technical specifications in comparison to the original Continental tires. It is this confidence in the quality of its tires that led Mitas to launch this enhanced warranty scheme.

According to Andrew Mabin, Mitas’ marketing and sales director, the new warranty conditions on Mitas Premium tires highlight the company’s confidence in quality of its tires, as Mitas now offers the best overall warranty on the agricultural market. Customers can use Mitas Premium tires with complete peace of mind and confidence in both the tires and the support services provided by Mitas to back up the product.

Last year, Mitas Premium tires replaced Continental-branded agricultural tires when it came to fitment as OE tires for agricultural machines and this year, Mitas is proceeding with the same change for the replacement market.

As part of the new warranty scheme, will provide warranty coverage for a period of six years (72 months) from the date of production, will provide free replacement if a manufacturing defect occurs in the first two year (24 months) of use and will also provide a field hazard warranty for the first three years (36 months) of a tire’s life. As part of the field hazard warranty, in the event that a tire becomes completely unusable or non-repairable under normal agricultural working conditions, the customer will get replacement credit when purchasing a new replacement Mitas tire. The claim will be evaluated by Mitas’ claim technicians.
