Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., has announced that Mazda has chosen its Geolandar H/T G056” tire as the OE for its new mide-size crossover SUV, the all-new Mazda CX-9. The vehicle is set to be launched in the North American market this spring. The tire will be supplied in two sizes to Mazda: P255/60R18 107H and 255/60R18 108H.
The “Geolandar H/T G056” tire was designed as a highway terrain tire and is meant to be used by midsize and large SUVs. Sales are booming in this segment across the globe. The tire has been developed to meet the demand from drivers for tires with outstanding durability, handling performance, wear resistance, quietness and comfort. It is suitable for use both on highways and on city streets and out on the highway.
The new CX-9 SUV is one of the high-end models in Mazda’s new range of vehicles. All of these vehicles have the Japanese manufacturer’s proprietary SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and KODO—Soul of Motion design. It definitely offers a more premium driving experience and stylish design and is meant to provide drivers with a sense of oneness with their vehicle.
