Hankook Tire’s brand of value tires, Laufenn was launched in the United States in 2014. Laufenn tires are positioned as tires that provide motorists with an excellent driving experience and an optimized performance on the road that are tailored to suit a wide range of lifestyle needs. Hankook made it a point to showcase the Laufenn range when the company participated in the renowned Reifen show that was held in Essen from May 24 to May 27, just like it did at the 2015 SEMA show.
In the past two years, the brand has expanded its dealer base and turned into a global brand by entering the tire retail market in as many as 19 countries spread across China, the Middle East, South Asia, South America and North America. Laufenn was introduced in several European markets this year and is pursuing an aggressive growth strategy with plans to expand its global footprint to 70 countries from 47 countries by the end of this year.
Hankook is targeting aggressive growth when it comes to sales performance as well, with Laufenn set to achieve 400 per cent growth in sales as compared to 2015 figures, especially in markets like China and the United States.
Speaking about the plans for the Laufenn brand, Seung-Hwa Suh, Vice Chairman and CEO of Hankook Tire said, “Laufenn has become a strong global brand with accelerated growth in global automotive market.”
He went on to state that Laufenn will continue to widen its reach among customers by offering them reliable products that effectively combine superior technology and the ability to provide a satisfactory driving experience across a wide range of lifestyle needs.
