Cooper Tire’s subsidiary in Europe, Cooper Tire Europe has inaugurated a new European Fulfilment Centre (EFC). The center is located in Hamburg, Germany and will cater to customers in Europe and the Scandinavian countries. According to Cooper, the “fully operational” facility can accommodate hundreds of thousands of tires, including the company’s latest high-performance tires which are marketed under the Starfire, Avon and Cooper brands. The tires stored at the fulfillment center will be shipped to Hamburg from Cooper’s plants in Asia, Europe and the United States.
Speaking about the new EFC, Jeff Schumaker, managing director, Cooper Tire Europe, said that Cooper had joined hands with one of the world’s leading third-party logistics provider, Fiege, to commission the Hamburg facility. The EFC’s strategic location in Hamburg will help Cooper to deliver tires to the market faster. This will help Cooper to raise delivery and service levels for customers in Scandinavian countries and in Europe and thus meet and even exceed their expectations.
