The Conti Hybrid HT3 trailer tire which recently won the iF Design Award has now gone on to claim one more famous award – the “Red Dot: Best of the Best” design award. The tire was recognized in its product category as the Best of the Best based on its innovative construction and the quality of its design. The Conti Hybrid HT3 trailer tire which is positioned as a premium tire was developed specifically for mega liners and has become a trailer tire with a clutch of awards to its credit.
Commenting on the award, Constantin Batsch, Vice President Business Region Truck Tires EMEA said that the Conti Hybrid HT3 445/45 R 19.5 and 435/50 R 19.5 tires were thoroughly examined by an expert and independent panel of 41 experts drawn from different parts of the world with regard to stringent pre-defined criteria like functionality, innovation, technical quality, and environmental impact. The “Red Dot: Best of the Best” award is the ultimate accolade for the design of this trailer tire. Batsch went on to express his delight that the award recognized the high standards Continental sets when it comes to tire development, especially as the Red Dot award comes closely on the heels of the iF Design award for the same tire.
The Red Dot Design award receives over 17,000 entries every year and is one of the oldest and most well known design competitions in the world. It was established in 1955 and is organized by Design Zentrum in North Rhine-Westphalia. The products which win the award are featured in the Red Dot Design Yearbook and will also be showcased in the Red Dot Design Museum. The winners of the awards will be presented officially with their trophies at the Red Dot Gala which is scheduled to held on on July 4, 2016 in the Aalto Theater in Essen.
Both Continental’s Conti Hybrid HT3 445/45 R 19.5 and 435/50 R 19.5 are fuel-efficient, high-mileage trailer tires, which are ideal for use by semitrailers of mega lines on long-distance trips due to their high load capacity at low diameters. The low profile tire has an optimized tire contour which yields high mileage and uniform wear pattern. The tire is environment friendly due to its retreadable carcass and “B”-grade EU fuel efficiency label.
