BKT, the manufacturer of offroad tires will be using the CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017 Show which is scheduled to be held in Las Vegas from March 7 to 11 this year to display its top-of-the-range tires of its Earthmax tire lineup for construction, mining and earthmoving vehicles.
Visitors to show will have a chance to get a close look at some of the outstanding tires belonging ot the Earthmax range of products. This range has been expanding at a rapid pace to meet the demands of even the most demanding users. The tires from the Earthmax range have been designed for optimal load distribution when they are used on dozers, graders, dumpers and wheeled loaders.
The common feature of all Earthmax patterns is that they have a structure that is made entirely of steel. This gives the casing extra resistance and protects the tire against punctures and penetration by debris. These features are particularly important in the kind of terrain that these tires are used as they face many obstacles on rough or rocky road and experience serious risks of puncture or casing deterioration. The Earthmax lineup is ideal for use on tough terrains like that found on large construction sites, quarries, pits and mines.
The most impressive tire in the Earthmax range, is the Earthmax SR 45 Plus. The size of the Earthmax SR 45 Plus, BKT’s new giant tire is truly amazing. Its diameter of 106.4 inches, or 2.70 meters (size 27.00 R 49) is stunning. It has been specifically engineered for rigid dumpers, and is a giant radial tire that is ideal for long-haul operations. The tire’s All Steel casing structure gives it excellent stability and makes it highly resistant to any kind of impacts such as cuts, tears and abrasions, irrespective of the operating conditions are.
Some of the impressive tires in the Earthmax range that will be seen at the CONEXPO show are:
Earthmax SR 22 is a tire meant for loaders and graders which are used in snow-covered terrains. At the show, it will be displayed in size 20.5 R 25. The tire has a large footprint area making it an excellent performer for snow-clearing operations. The tire’s compound, its aggressive tread design and its grooves lend the tire outstanding traction and road grip on snowy grounds.
Earthmax SR 30, has been engineered for articulated dumpers and wheel loaders, and will be showcased in size 20.5 R 25 at the show. Its special compound, which is the outcome of a particular production process, gives the tire higher resistance to cuts and abrasions as well as giving the tire the ability to quickly dissipate the heat developed during operations.
The Earthmax SR 41 tire for articulated dump trucks will be displayed at the show in size 20.5 R 25. This tire has a deep tread with reinforced connecting elements giving the tire better lug stiffness and increased stability. The special lug design also gives the tire higher levels of traction – an essential feature for articulated dump trucks operating on the toughest terrains under severe conditions.
The Earthmax SR 49 which will be displayed at he show in size 33/65 R 33 will complete the display. It has been specially designed for loaders and dozers operating in severe mining operations requiring exceptional traction. The tire will offer users an extended product life-cycle and longer tread wear due to its L-4 deep tread. It offers excellent resistance to rock cuts, and punctures. Earthmax SR 49 is characterized by a special cut-resistant compound enhancing the tire’s cut resistance on extremely tough terrains.
