The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., has announced that the company’s AVID S34 tire has been chosen as the OE fitment for the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica which will be manufactured by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles US LLC.
According to FCA US, the sixth generation of the Pacifica is all set to redefine the minivan segment that the company had created more than three decades ago. The past five generations of the renowned model has achieved a record 14.3 million deliveries over the past 30 plus years.
The new Pacifica will be fitted with “AVID S34” tire in size 235/65R17 104T, and will cater to minivan buyers in the Canadian, US and Mexican markets.
The “AVID S34” tire from YOKOHAMA’s is positioned as an all-season passenger car tire which performs well with regard to safety and drivability in addition to providing an edge when it comes to fuel efficiency. The tire was designed based on the materials technology and design used for Yokohama’s award winning “BluEarth” global tire brand. The “BluEarth” tire has been recognized by both tire industry professionals and the general public for its environment friendly design.
With Yokohama Rubber increasingly focusing on developing tires based on the advanced “BluEarth” tire technology, many automotive companies are opting to have Yokohama tires as the OE fitment for their late model hybrid and eco-cars.
