Yanfeng Automotive Interiors (YFAI) has joined the Plug and Play Mobility ecosystem in order to expedite its development of new technologies. Plug and Play is the largest such global innovation platform that serves as a meeting ground for startups, investors, and corporations.
Commenting on the platform’s new member, Saeed Amidi, founder and CEO of Plug and Play said that Yanfeng Automotive Interiors would lend a fresh perspective to the platform’s ecosystem as the company redefines how drivers interact with the interiors of their vehicles. By working closely with startups, Yangfeng Interiors would be able to further refine vehicle interiors to elevate the user experience.
As a member of Plug and Play, YFAI will participate and get access to proof of concept tests, pilot projects and deal flow sessions with startups.
Han Hendriks, Chief Technology Officer for Yanfeng Automotive Interiors said that the automotive industry is going through an unprecedented stage. He went on to express his belief that the mobility revolution will have the greatest impact in the interiors. Working with Plug and Play and the companies which are partners in this platform partners would give Yanfeng further access to disruptive technology and startups at the global level to accelerate the pace of research and innovation.
Yanfeng Automotive Interiors (YFAI), a joint venture between Adient and Yanfeng, is one of the market leaders in the field of automotive interiors and is headquartered in Shanghai. The company has about 110 manufacturing plants and technical centers spread across 20 countries and employs over 33,000 people globally.
