Yanfeng Automotive Interiors which is one of the leading companies when it comes to automotive interiors is slated to debut its eXperience in Motion (XiM18) vehicle interior concept, at the forthcoming IAA International Motor Show. The show is scheduled to be held from September 12-24, 2017 in Frankfurt, Germany and will showcase over 30 innovative product and process solutions for vehicles of the future including electric and autonomous cars. The interiors are set to change radically with the advent of new trends like connectivity, vehicle sharing and autonomous vehicles.
Increasing connectivity and new forms of car ownership and mobility such as e-cars, autonomous driving, or car sharing are now rapidly changing perceptions of transportation and mobility. Yangeng’s new innovations when it comes to the interiors can transform the manner in which drivers engage with their vehicles.
Han Hendriks, Chief Technology Officer for YFAI said that with its XiM18, the company would answer the question of what people would do in their vehicle, if they no longer have to drive. The car would change into a living space and the XiM18 would redefine how motorists can relax, work and play within the confines of their vehicles.
The concept vehicle shows how the interior functionality would change in various driving modes. There would be a new range of flexibility to meet lifestyle needs, greater personal space and plenty of time to watch movies, relax or work. The concept would also demonstrate YFAI’s total interior integration capabilities.
Other product innovations that YFAI developed like lightweight structures, slim air vents functional surfaces, integrated HMI technologies, smart skin surfaces which feel like fabric, or a real glass center stack which prove Yanfeng’s expertise in defining car2human interaction will also be showcased at the event.
The company has developed several technologies which can reduce weight and boost efficiency like lightweight door and instrument panels, the CHyM portfolio, advanced injection molding and EcoCor solutions.
