Fleet management in Chile and Mexico will never be the same again now that TomTom Telematics’ award-winning WEBFLEET fleet management platform is available in the two countries.
The launch of the platform will enable companies in both countries to have access to TomTom’s advanced fleet management technology, which is aimed at improving their operational efficiency and making them more competitive. WEBFLEET blends rich functionality with ISO 27001 certified standards of data security and availability.
According to Javier Cañestro, Director Business Development Latin America at TomTom Telematics, commercial vehicle fleets oil the wheels of the Chilean and Mexican economies but at the same time, contribute to environmental pollution. Moreover, these fleets often operate in urban areas to serve their customers facing traffic problems and changes in job schedules.
WEBFLEET offers greater visibility into fleet operations, blending world-class traffic information and professional navigation with award-winning drive improvement technology to help business drivers spend less time on the road and to use less fuel.
The development came after the purchase of Coordina (Gestion Electronica Logistica, S.L.), the Spanish market leader in fleet management solutions, in 2013, building on existing infrastructure in both countries.
Cañestro added that with over eight million commercial vehicles in operation (VIO) in these countries and telematics penetration of about seven percent, both Chile and Mexico serve as TomTom Telematics’ attractive market opportunities.
