Just recently, TomTom Telematics has partnered with Sage, the market leader in cloud accounting software to deliver real-time accounting for companies with vehicles or fleets.
WEBFLEET is an award-winning TomTom Telematics fleet management service that is employed by small to large businesses to help boost vehicle performance, support drivers, save fuel and boost overall fleet efficiency. The combined solution will enable Sage Live customers to automatically view fleet data from connected vehicles, including passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and trucks.
According to Thomas Schmidt, Managing Director at TomTom Telematics, by collaborating with Sage, they are helping to develop a more modern and responsive accounting environment. He said that the new software integration would offer an important service for companies that don’t necessarily have to track and trace their sales or engineering teams on a map, but are interested in getting other core vehicle data into their financial systems.
Jennifer Warawa, EVP of Product Marketing at Sage, said that joining forces with TomTom Telematics enables them to harness the power of the connected car for accounting purposes. She noted that it also reinforces Sage’s position as the most cutting-edge cloud accounting platform on the market. “Providing real-time accounting for vehicle fleets helps make the process more transparent and convenient, and puts companies in greater control of their finances.”
The partnership was formally launched at this year’s Sage Summit in Chicago. The software integration will be reportedly available for the US and UK market first, with regionalized versions for Germany, France, and Spain alongside other European countries coming soon during the fourth quarter.
