Tesla Releases New Software Update

Tesla has set out a press release announcing that it would shortly release a new software update to that would add new features to Tesla models. These new features include blind spot warning and auto-folding mirrors.

The new version 9 2019.4 update will cover two new features – the Blind Spot Warning Chime and the auto-folding mirrors.

The new update would make it possible to turn on an audible chime when you switch lanes. This chime will warn you if there is any possibility of an imminent collision with an obstacle or another vehicle in the lane you are switching to. Customers need to touch Controls > Autopilot > Blind Spot Warning Chime in order to activate the blind spot warning chime.

The vehicles can utilize the update as the Autopilot system has the capacity to detect vehicles in blind spot.

Another interesting feature that is part of the update is the one that enables auto-folding of mirrors in tight parking spaces. A Tesla model car will now be able to automatically fold and unfold the side mirrors based on the location. Motorists will no longer need to do this manually. All they have to do is go to Controls > Quick Controls > Fold and select Always Fold Mirrors at this Location in order to set up the feature for a particular location. The next time the vehicle approaches a saved location, the mirrors will fold automatically and unfold when the vehicle leaves that location. This is a truly handy feature.
