Just recently, Standard Motor Products, Inc. (SMP) has announced the addition of 1,250 new part numbers to its renowned Standard® and Intermotor® lines. The roll out expands through the 2015 model year covering over 714 million extra vehicles in operation (VIO).
Huge additions were made to Standard® and Intermotor’s sensor and switch categories underlined by the company’s announcement of their new Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor line, which features over 140 MAFs covering 177 million VIO.
Increasing its coverage by 167 million VIO, Standard® added 475 switches, which includes cruise control, multi-function, combination, traction control, four-wheel drive selector, steering pressure, power seat, door lock, and power window. Standard® sustained its focus on engine control coverage by rolling out 225 new sensors for 139 million extra VIO. These included a new QWIK-SENSOR™ Multi-Coverage TPMS sensor with rubber valve stem (QS103R), fuel vapor, fuel pressure, transmission input, acceleration, yaw rate and G Force. Moreover, SMP added ignition coil-on-plugs, fuel vapor canisters, fuel injectors and over 40 power door lock actuators.
