Pitstop which is a leading car service and maintenance service provider has teamed up with German automotive parts manufacturer Hella to establish a network of workshops in India. These worksshops will specialize in providing customers in the country with affordable car service. The two companies have ambitious plans to launch 50 co-branded workshops in India in 2019. Called ‘Unnayan’, the pilot phase of the project has already been launched in Gurugram, and is slated to expand across cities like Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Delhi and Bengaluru. It is expected that over 50 workshops will be a part of the network by the end of 2019.
Commenting on the project, Mihir Mohan, Founder & CEO of Pitstop said that the company was happy to have Hella, which is a leading company in the automotive industry at the global level as its strategic partner for “Unnayan”. The two companies plan to position “Unnayaan” workshops as the most trusted and transparent choice for consumers when it comes to car repair and maintenance for their vehicles.
Pitstop offers car-related services like regular service, mechanical and electrical repair, body repair and doorstep inspection. Currently, the company has operations in six cities, and it has collaborated with more than 50 workshops across Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, and Pune.
Pitstop was established in 2015, and the company’s goal is not only to provide car-related services but also to improve labor skills. It has partnered with fleets and leasing firms and as part of its services to these firms uses its proprietary SaaS-based Fleet Information System that provides a real-time view of service repairs.
