Tenneco has expanded the coverage of its Monroe Brakes brand to cover as many as 88.3 million registered vehicles in 2016. The company has added almost 150 more brake pad and shoe part numbers as part of its Total Solution, Monroe ProSolution and Severe Solution ranges. The Monroe Brakes brand serves as a one-stop solution for automotive service providers who need premium, OE-equivalent brake components that can increase the productivity of technicians and enhance customer satisfaction.
Speaking about the expansion of coverage, Tony Carter, the marketing and product manager of Monroe Brakes said that the company’s coverage expansion has kept pace with robust sales growth across North America as more people discover the outstanding performance benefits and business value of using Monroe Brakes. He added that the company plans to sustain this momentum with further expansion of its range of premium products for late-model Asian, North American and European vehicles.
To its range of Total Solution ultra-premium brake pads, Tenneco has this year added 45 part numbers and these part numbers comprise practically everything that is needed for repairing most issues. Total Solution pads come with stainless steel noise reduction hardware, ultra-premium ceramic or semi-metallic friction formulations and shim technologies, Sensory Locking backing plates, and wire wear sensors, where they are needed as well as brake lubricant, thus saving technicians considerable time in the repair process.
Monroe ProSolution brake pads which have premium ceramic or semi-metallic friction formulations that have been designed for reducing noise levels by a significant margin, offer a long pad life and superior stopping performance now have 70 new pad sets that have been launched in 2016 to cover about 97% of North American passenger vehicles.
When it comes to Tenneco’s Severe Solution pad sets, 19 additional sets have been introduced this year. These brake pad sets are designed for vehicles that have to perform in severe conditions like long-haul trucks, emergency and fleet vehicles. They feature premium, application-specific friction materials that offer excellent high-temperature stability and fade resistance as well as outstanding wear characteristics. Tenneco also has launched 13 new OE-style brake shoe sets, including shoes for parking brakes.
