Forbes has named Faurecia as one of the 500 companies which are on the magazine’s annual list of the “Top Employers in America”. The companies that made it to the list were selected on the basis of the results of an independent survey which was conducted among 30,000 American employees employed at large companies and institutions which have a workforce of 5,000 or more. The top company on the list was Costco Wholesale, followed by corporations like Google, REI and JetBlue Airways.
Forbes collaborated with online statistics provider Statista to calculate the probability of employees at the companies surveyed recommending their employer to others on the basis of their responses to the questions asked as part of the survey. The outcome was a list of 500 employers spread across 25 industries which comprised universities, major corporations and government agencies that had the ability to make their employees feel “right at home” at the office.
Faurecia has about 10,000 people employees in the United States, and joined leading automotive OEMs like GM, FCA, Tesla, Tenneco, ZF Group, Magna International and Ford Motor Company on the list compiled by Forbes.
Commenting on making it to the Forbes list of top employers, Chris Rau, vice president of human resources for Faurecia North America said that Faurecia is actively working to create a company culture that allows the company to compete with leading companies like Google and Facebook to attract and retain the best talent at a time when unemployment is at its lowest.
Faurecia was also named a 2016 Top Employer in the U.S. by the Top Employers Institute.
Faurecia was established in 1997 and has over the years become a leading global supplier of automotive parts and a preferred partner to automakers throughout the world.
