Eberspaecher to Use Shanghai Auto Show to Showcase Innovative Exhaust Treatment Systems

Eberspaecher, which is one of the main manufacturers and suppliers of exhaust technology and climate control solutions for the automotive industry will be using the Shanghai Auto Show to showcase its latest technologies and products. The Shanghai Auto Show is scheduled to be held from April 21 to 28.

Manufacturers of exhaust systems have to walk a fine line between the demand for lower and lower exhaust temperatures due to the need for motors to become more supercharged and energy-efficient and the need for greater exhaust-emission conversion. At the Shanghai Auto Show, Eberspaecher Exhaust Technology division will be showcasing an exhaust solution with a specially designed exhaust-gas aftertreatment component.

The new exhaust solution integrates the functionality of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) into a diesel particulate filter, thus facilitating the close-coupled placement of the combined system. When it comes to an SCR system, an optimum mixture preparation of AdBlue with the exhaust-gas is crucial.

The new ‘tunnel mixer’ is more effective for improved mixing and for keeping the exhaust-gas back pressure low. Due to its new type of construction, it is also less sensitive to manufacturing tolerances. The solution is available for all exhaust standards that are currently in force throughout the world and can also be adapted for all OEM models.

Euro 6 exhaust systems for M&HCVs
The business unit of Eberspaecher dealing with commercial vehicles will be highlighting three Euro 6-combined exhaust systems for heavy duty and medium duty commercial vehicles which comprise state-of-the-art emission control components. All of them have a diesel particulate filter system – consisting of oxidation catalytic converter and a diesel particulate filter. There is also a nitrogen-oxide reducing system with the load-dependent urea processing and SCR-catalytics.
