Robert Bosch LLC used the recent AAPEX Show to showcase its new range of steering components. The company had established the Bosch Automotive Steering Division back in 2015 but the AAPEX Show was the first such show in which the company displayed its new range of steering components for the automotive aftermarket.
Bosch Automotive Steering specializes in technically innovative and sophisticated steering solutions for all major vehicle manufacturers. The company is also keen on designing an developing steering technologies that can be used in autonomous driving vehicles. When it comes to the aftermarket, Bosch will be focusing on making components for both passenger as well as commercial vehicles and these will comprise the hydraulic steering systems that are used in conventional vehicles as well as the more advanced active steering systems and electric steering systems.
At the AAPEX Show, Bosch had product specialists on hand to present the wide range of products that have been launched as a part of the aftermarket steering portfolio. These include steering gears and steering pumps that have been designed to offer fit, function and form that is as good as OE components Bosch Power Steering Gears include those that range from conventional rack and pinion arrangements to highly advanced electric gears and intelligent active steering systems. The electric systems have been optimized to improve mileage and lower power consumption.
Bosch Power Steering Pumpshave been designed for optimum performance and are capable of delivering high capacity pressures for all driving demands. These pumps are available for both mechanical and electric systems and are meant to consume as little power as possible.
